The photograph was taken on June 12, 1995 at Giorgio Armani’s Milan headquarters in Via Borgonuovo. Three exposures, a few minutes of time, no staging and no studio lights — realized with an analog medium-format camera (Mamiya RZ67).
The moment shows Armani concentrated and composed, without pose or distraction. The image belongs to the rare authentic portraits of the designer from this period and documents a phase in which Armani set international standards through reduced formal language and precise tailoring.
Fine-Art Pigment Print, signed and numbered, with fixed editions and no reprints after edition closure.
