“Udo Lindenberg — Hamburg, 1989”
Commissioned by Men’s Vogue, I was asked to photograph characteristic motifs of Hamburg. After several days of research, Udo Lindenberg became a central reference point.
As he was on tour at the time, the idea emerged to portray him indirectly—through his most distinctive attribute: the hat.
With access to his wardrobe, I developed a clear, reduced composition on site. The stacked hats become form, gesture, and proxy—representing a figure that remains immediately recognizable even without a visible face.
The image functions as a portrait without the portrayed—concentrated, iconic, unambiguous.
Certification & Shipping
All prints are numbered, signed, and delivered with a certificate of authenticity.
The certificate and signature label are shipped separately — to protect against transport damage and to allow maximum flexibility for framing and mounting.
This practice follows international fine art standards and ensures the long-term value of the edition.
Shipping & Handling
Worldwide shipping.
Unframed prints are shipped flat or in specialized packaging.
Framed works are delivered ready to hang.
Returns / Withdrawal
As these are limited fine art editions, returns are generally excluded, except in cases of transport damage.
